Fancy a day of watching Subarus do what they do best, all in aid of a good cause?
The Colin McRae Charity Run is back in Belfast on September 16th, organised by a group of local Subaru enthusiasts and featuring around 150 Subarus from around the UK, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Now in its third year, the run is a tribute to the late and great Colin McRae, who was killed in a helicopter crash in 2007. The event will start at Eastwood Motors Subaru in Lisburn and take a scenic route through Northern Ireland, ending at Nearys Subaru in Lusk, Co Dublin.
Registration begins at 10am and spectators are encouraged to come along and show their support. There’ll be a host of activities for all the family including a superhero meet and greet, bouncy castle, prize raffle and a Subaru heritage display, not to mention the chance to take a closer look at a hyper performance Subaru BRZ V8 conversion by local engineering company Momentum Tuning.
All proceeds from the run will go to Angel Wishes, a local charity set up by Gaye Kerr, whose twins Helen and Brian both lost their lives as a result of rare disorders. The charity was launched in 2015 and provides treats for children with rare diseases, while keeping the memory of Helen and Brian alive.
